bok bok bok bok CHOY! - West Maui Sustainability

West Maui Sustainability

We just had our first harvest at our little garden!  Mrs. Elias and her second grade class were able to pick the bok choy that they planted earlier in the year.  The kids were very excited to donate their pickings to Ka Hale a Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center in Lahaina.

Today the PTA organized a beautify the campus day.  We had about ten kids and five adults helping in the garden, planting 'uala (sweet potato), kalo, spreading mulch and compost on the hillside, and planting a couple different varieties of lilikoi.
